I'm Fernando. I've spent seven years building software people use with real money on the line.
Full-Stack Developer based in Costa Rica, working with startups and companies across Europe and LatAm that need product in production, not demos. Today I am Senior Frontend at Gamanza; before that, fintech, online casinos and two startups I co-founded.

Found
I co-founded Torneos.GG, an online tournament platform with real-time brackets and matchmaking. I learned to build product with users inside and no safety net.

Regulated
I joined Gamanza to build casino CRM and redesign Jackpots.ch in Switzerland. Real money, audits and jurisdictions: that's where I lost the habit of improvising.

Scale
Fintech (CommonSense, FundLayer), casino modernization (Stratech) and today Senior Frontend at Gamanza Engage, owning the microfrontend architecture.
Three principles, and where they came from.

In regulated platforms you don't improvise
Seven years of my work were online casinos and fintech: real money, identity verification, audits. There a bug isn't a ticket but someone else's money and a regulator asking questions. I got used to validating what matters on the server, where the user can't touch it, and to distrusting anything that arrives from outside.

A number, or I don't say it
I redesigned the CommonSense onboarding and setting up a client went 40% faster. That number came from comparing against the previous flow, not from an optimistic estimate. If I can't measure that something improved, I don't say it improved.

Migrating without the user noticing
A good part of my work was walking into platforms that were already live, with people inside, and changing the technology underneath: Jackpots.ch in Switzerland, Juegalo and Betnroll at Stratech. That is done in pieces, with a way back, never in one shot.
